"Recently, a friend while viewing my art collection asked who my favorite artist was. He wanted to know the artist in my collection whose work I would buy unseen, and I blurted out, Chris Bath. I was somewhat surprised by my response because Chris did not create any of the paintings in my collection. Upon further reflection however, I am confident that my answer was the correct one.

As I see it, for a painting to reveal its full glory and exact its full power, three of its fundamental attributes must align and harmonize perfectly: execution of the painting; framing of the painting; and installation of the painting. Chris has framed every painting in my collection, and he has also installed them in our home to our utmost satisfaction. It is therefore my view that the creators of these paintings only started a process which Chris has magnificently completed. As such he is in my opinion as much their creator as the original artists who painted them.

I first met Chris Bath about six years ago when I responded to an advertisement by the Frame Shop where he worked, to repair the deteriorating frame of a painting that I loved very much. The shop recommended a total reframing of the piece in museum glass and the job was assigned to Chris. My reaction on first seeing the completed work was, WOW!! The work was tastefully and impeccably done, and a painting I had owned for over twenty years looked fresh and new, like I was seeing it for the first time. I told the Shop Owner there and then that regardless of how long I would have to wait for my work, I wanted all my framing done by ONLY Chris.

Chris has since framed over fifty paintings for me. They range from tiny pieces of only a few inches dimension to large canvases of several feet dimension. My response to every one of them on first seeing the completed work has been the same as the first time, WOW!! Unfortunately the owner of the Frame Shop retired last summer, and the shop was closed. I understand that Chris is working to start a shop of his own. I certainly hope so. I have been collecting paintings for over forty years and I still have several that need framing. Given the choice, I am still resolved that ONLY Chris Bath will do my framings and installation. Apart from the impeccable quality of his work, Chris is honest, professional, punctual and reliable; and extremely fun to work with. In a time when pursuit of the quick buck appears to be priority for many, I chose to lavish loyalty to the select few I encounter, who are committed to delivering quality and value. I can vouch for the quality of Chris’s work without any reservations whatsoever; and recommend him very highly."
